WOMEN WORKERS HELP LINE

Women Workers Help Line was established in January 2000. During the last seven years, it has made tremendous efforts to resolve working women problems; ranging from workplace difficulties to legal issues. WWHL launched campaigns, organized festivals, seminars, workshops and dialogues to highlight women issues and create awareness about constitutional, trade union and political rights of women.
WWHL is a national-level member-based organization. It is an independent, voluntary, non-profit making, non-governmental organization, registered under the societies Act (1860), with its secretariat office in Lahore, Pakistan .
WWHL has following major program areas:
Women political education
Women legal rights awareness campaign
Women workers education and empowerment in formal and informal sectors
Community development program.

A socially just, economically equitable, politically aware and gender-sensitive society.

 

MISSION

Create legal, political, democratic and trade union awareness among women, enabling them to play their effective political, economic and social role in promoting and strengthening democratic and trade union culture.

 

OBJECTIVES
Organize women workers to formulate and strengthen trade unions.
Struggle for better wages, health, and transport facilities for women workers.  
Struggle for implementation of Labor and Social Security Laws.
Struggle for elimination of discriminatory laws against women.
Equitable wages for men and women in formal / informal sector.
Provision of legal help to victims of violence / sexual harassment.
Networking with like - minded civil society organizations, fronts, forums.
