WWHL is fully committed to create a disease free environment in which people specially women can enjoy their health intellectually, economically, emotionally, spiritually and physically and go on to live enjoyable and fulfilling life. The effect of even a small disease has devastating impact on health of Women and children. 

Therefore, on 16^th March 2012 Women Workers Helpline organized Awareness session regarding mother and child Health in kot Lakhpat, Lahore. 70 women participated in that session from the area of Kot Lakhpat.

Session was started with the introduction of WWHL staff and Lady Health Visitor (LHV). Ms Farhat Akram conducted this session. She delivered a lecture on mother’s health and new born baby’s health.

Women and girls were happy to participate and to describe their issues regarding their health problems and lady health visitor treated the people very gently and provided them good prescription. She also gave prescriptions to the people who were suffering from different diseases and gave awareness about the diseases they were suffering from and others. All the participants were very happy and excited for this session, because this was very informative for the mothers and for new born babies.
