Health, HIV/AIDS

To create and enhance people’s participation in planning and monitoring in health sector, WWHL is creating awareness among the people about their right to access health facilities. It is also creating awareness among the mothers and women about their health issues.

Advocacy and awareness on HIV/Aids
World has a serious danger from HIV aids. In developing countries this diseases is also affecting people due to lack of awareness. WWHL is struggling to fight against HIV/Aids rising by awareness. In general, a campaign has been initiated about the disease and its effects to make people aware about the harm of this disease. This would help out to break the stigma and misconception about the disease.

Advocacy for the improvement of mother & child health care facilities
WWHL believes to upgrade the knowledge and skills among communities related to health issues through awareness, and thus reduce morbidity and mortality in disadvantaged community women and children. In DA-31 localities, mother & child health condition is very poor. On the other hand, Basic Health Units are also mal-functioning. There is immense need to provide basic health facilities regarding mother and child health. DA-31 areas UC # 12, 30 and 137 has no BHU, Dispensary, in these areas these services are the priority to make the health facilities better with special focus on mother and child health care.

Awareness raising about health issues through Study Circles
Community health awareness includes discussions and observations regarding community health issues in order to enhance the capacity of the male and female health workers. For this purpose study circles are being organized to aware the people in the community. Doctors are invited to share with community members information, knowledge and suggestions to become health conscious.
