The purpose of Young Girls Association is to gather the young girls on a platform where they feel free to express themselves. At this stage the young girls group share their opinions and judgments on educational, political, economic and socio cultural issues. They are trained to make a collective effort to resolve their problems as well. The main issues faced by young girls are:

Lack of educational facilities

Low standard of curriculum taught in poor and lower class areas

Sexual harassment at workplace

Lack of political awareness

Societal pressures

Security problems during mobility

Can’t participate in cultural events and recreational activities

Old traditions restrict individual development

Restriction on mobility freedom
This group comprise of girls ranging form 16-25 years. They are working, non working, educated or illiterate.
The intention of this youth organization is to create awareness about political, economic, socio-cultural issues of the society and to discover leadership qualities in young girls. Further their capacity will be built to raise their strapping voice against violence on them.
Young Girls Association instigates seminars, and issue based regular meetings to highlight young girls’ issues. |
